Expedition

At OneCamp, Expeditions are multi-day offsite experiences with a specific focus such as kayaking, sailing, bushwalking, leadership, or pioneering. Participants choose from a range of expeditions held across Western Australia (plus one is Tassie!).

Expeditions are available to Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts. Participants nominate their top three Expedition preferences as part of their online application. Expedition will be progressively allocated after OneCamp application open.

DISCOVER TASsie

Date: 9 - 13 April 2026

Ready for an adventure like no other? Discover Tassie takes you deep into the wild heart of Tasmania, where you’ll push your limits with epic challenges. Experience the thrill of white-water rafting through raging rivers, caving after dark in mysterious underground tunnels, and abseiling down sheer cliffs. Explore Hobart city, then take on the rugged terrain with mountain biking and rock climbing. With unpredictable weather and untamed landscapes, this expedition will test your courage, endurance, and determination at every turn. If you’re up for a challenge that’s not for the faint-hearted, this is your chance to prove you’ve got what it takes to survive and thrive in one of the wildest places on Earth!

DISCOVER Exmouth

Date: 9 - 14 April 2026

Get ready for the ultimate adventure with Discover Exmouth! Fly to the stunning coastal town of Exmouth, Western Australia. Explore its breathtaking landscapes, swim alongside the majestic whale sharks, and relax on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This unique experience will allow you to connect with nature, challenge yourself, and create unforgettable memories. From crystal-clear waters to vibrant marine life, Discover Exmouth is an adventure that will leave you with a deep appreciation for one of Australia’s most pristine destinations.

DISCOVER Wadjemup

Date: 11 - 14 April 2026

Embark on an unforgettable adventure as you begin your journey in Fremantle and hop on a ferry to the stunning Rottnest Island. Set up camp for three nights and immerse yourself in the beauty of the island. Get active with a round of mini golf, take a refreshing swim, and then get hands-on with eco-tourism activities like planting native trees or joining a beach clean-up to protect the island’s pristine environment. Dive deeper into the island’s natural wonders with more eco-adventures, and enjoy paddle boarding, swimming, or snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters that surround this coastal paradise.

DISCOVER great SOUTHern

Date: 6 - 14 April 2026

Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the heart of Western Australia’s stunning southwest. Tackle fun experiences in some of the region’s most iconic destinations: Hyden, Esperance, Albany, Margaret River, and Bunbury. With visits to the Ravensthorpe Lolly Shop, Wave Rock, Magic Pool, The Gap, Mammoth Cave, Soccer Golf, Treetop Adventures, awesome beaches and the Cows and Lolly Shop of Cowaramup. The journey from Esperance to Albany takes you past the artistic beauty of painted silos found in Ravensthorpe. Continuing west along the shoreline you will discover the historic seaside town of Albany. Enjoy the famous landmarks that Albany has to offer before stopping in Denmark for your last adventure.

DISCOVER drones

Join us for Discover Drones, an exciting and hands-on adventure where Scouts take to the skies! Participants will tackle a professionally facilitated drone operator course, gaining essential skills in drone safety, flight operations, and aerial photography. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this immersive experience will sharpen your technical abilities and introduce you to the world of cutting-edge technology. Unlock new horizons, build confidence, and have fun while mastering the art of drone flying. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable journey into the future of flight!

DISCOVER ADRENALINE

Date: 10 - 14 April 2026

Not for the faint-hearted! Discover Adrenaline is the ultimate thrill-seeker’s dream, packed with high-speed excitement and heart-pounding adventure. Tear through the dunes on a Perth Quad Bike & Sandboarding adventure, then soar through the skies on the Matagarup Zip & Climb for a view like no other. Get up close and personal with marine life as you snorkel with sharks. Take your adventure to new heights with an indoor flying experience at i–Fly, or take out your mates in a competitive paintball challenge. Get some air at the Perth Wake Park and top it all off with evening entertainment at the OneCamp main site in the Swan Valley. This expedition will push you to your limits and leave you with memories that last a lifetime!

DISCOVER RADIO

Date: 11 - 14 April 2026

Ready to unlock the secrets behind the technology that keeps us connected? Discover Radio takes you on a journey through the ground-breaking ideas of 19th-century scientists like Hertz, Ampere, Faraday, and Marconi and thrusts them into the 2026 world of WiFi, satellites, radar and the induction stove. You’ll dive into an Amateur Radio Foundation Licence course, learning the skills to earn your Amateur Radio Badge. Then, gear up for hands-on challenges at radio communication, broadcast, and satellite facilities around Perth. Get ready for an epic mix of science, technology, and adventure – all from the OneCamp site in the Swan Valley. Connect, explore, and discover the power of radio!

DISCOVER high seas

Date: 10 - 14 April 2026

Join a five-day voyage on the Leeuwin II. Train to function as crew members in all aspects of sailing the Leeuwin, including climbing the masts to furl and unfurl sails, climbing out to the bowsprit, taking the helm, and standing watches including night watches. This is a unique opportunity to take part in a training voyage on Leeuwin with all crew being Scout members.

DISCOVER SCUBA

Date: 10 - 14 April 2026

Join us for an incredible five day scuba experience featuring PADI Open Water certification training, shore dives, and thrilling boat dives at Rottnest Island, with potential visits to Shark Cave or Carnac Island. This expedition caters to both new and experienced divers, with full equipment hire available and expert instructors ensuring a safe and engaging experience. Participants will take part in pool training, shore dives at Rockingham Dive Trail, and multiple double boat dives at Rottnest Island aboard Blue Destiny, all including a buffet lunch. For those looking to advance their skills, an additional support instructor can be arranged for the full three-day course. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop diving skills, explore breathtaking marine environments, and connect with fellow adventurers. Secure your place and discover the deep blue with an unforgettable experience!

Expedition Terms and Conditions

Upon selecting a OneCamp option that includes an Expedition, youth applicants will have an Expedition Deposit of $300 added to the payment schedule on their online application. The Expedition Deposit is due on 30 November 2025.

The following Expeditions have an additional deposit payment that is due upon allocation to the Expedition: Discover High Seas, Discover Tassie, Discover Exmouth, Discover Scuba.

The balance payment for the following Expeditions will be due on 1 February 2026: Discover High Seas, Discover Tassie, Discover Exmouth, Discover Scuba.

The balance payment for the following Expeditions will be due on 28 February 2026: Discover Great Southern, Discover Adrenalin, Discover Rally, Discover Wadjemup, Discover Drones.

The advertised cost for each Expedition includes catering, transport as per the itinerary, accommodation, and activities.

Return flights from Perth are included in the advertised cost for Discover Tassie and Discover Exmouth.

Transport to and from the Expedition meeting/return point is not included for participants who choose an Expedition only option (e.g., for those who do not attend the OneCamp 2026 Core Camp).

Supporting adults are invited to attend Expeditions to assist delivery of the program. Supporting adults should enter Expedition preferences into their online application. Expeditions fees for supporting adults are available by emailing onecamp@scoutswa.com.au.
