Bringing a major Scout event to life is a rewarding and exciting experience for adults too – why should the Scouts have all the fun! Delivering the OneCamp adventure is a big challenge and requires a huge team of volunteers to make it happen. Whether you’re an adult Leader, adult helper, or supporter of Scouts, we have a role for you!
Our event volunteers (Leaders and other adults) are crucial to the success of OneCamp 2023. We are pleased to invite volunteers from across Scouts WA to join in the fun at OneCamp 2023, with no fee for volunteers to attend.

Part-time volunteers
Volunteers can attend OneCamp 2023 on a part-time basis to match their availability. This includes attending for a single day. Part-time volunteers can nominate their available dates in the Online Event Application System.
Volunteer roles
At the time of application Leaders and other adults will have the opportunity to indicate their role preference for OneCamp 2023.
Once applications close, the Event Team will allocate volunteers to roles, with individual role preferences and the operational requirements of the event in mind.

Volunteer Orientation Day
An orientation day will be held for all event volunteers to communicate key arrangements.
The orientation day will be held from 9.00am till 2.00pm on Saturday 11 February 2023.
The venue will be in the Perth metropolitan area. Opportunities to connect electronically will be made available to regional volunteers.
Eligibility

Be registered as a member of Scouts WA at the time of OneCamp 2023 OR be registered as an event non-member.

Hold a current Working with Children Check card.

Have completed the WHS and Child Safe Scouting On Demand Training.
Event fee
There is no event fee for volunteers to attend OneCamp 2023. This is in recognition that volunteers are attending the event to support youth members’ participation in the event program.
Volunteers will be provided with the following inclusions:
- All accommodation costs for the duration of their stay at OneCamp 2023.
- All meals for the duration of their stay at OneCamp 2023.
- Transport to and from the event, including for regional volunteers.
- A merchandise pack including a badge, shirt, and hat.
