Beef Chow Mein with Noodles, veggies & Spring rolls

  • Two large pots with boiling water (one for noodles + one for veggies) 
  • Separate fry pan/s for mod diets (number depends on how many mod diets your Unit has) 

Ingredients

  • Beef Mince  
  • Chow Mein Recipe Base GF VEGAN  
  • Frozen Vegetable Mix  
  • Garlic minced  
  • Noodles Instant  
  • Oil vegetable  
  • Onions brown  
  • Soy Sauce 
  • Veggie spring rolls  
  • Cordial Fruit Cup  
  • Cordial lemon  

Ingredients (modified diets) 

  • Minced beef HALAL (HA) 
  • Noodles Vermicelli Rice GF (GFVG, GDF, GF, LFOD, LFR)  
  • Plant based mince (RMF, VG)  
  • Tofu VEGAN GF (GFVG, VG, VE)  
  • Sauce soy GF (GFVG, GDF, GF)  

Steps

  1. Get 2 big pots of water onto boil – remember they’ll take a while to come to the boil. Pop the noodles into one of the pots and cook based on the instructions on the pack. Stir around until they’ve loosened, then carefully strain. 
  2. Get the BBQ nice and hot and clean. Spread out a little oil and brown the onions with some garlic. Add the mince, cooking until brown. Add the chow mein recipe base and mix through.  
  3. Add the loosened noodles and simmer sauce, and toss until well combined and hot through.
