Scouts arrive in force for onecamp 2026

The first wave of buses has delivered an enthusiastic group of Scouts from across Western Australia and interstate, marking the official beginning of the OneCamp 2026 experience.

Upon arrival, participants were welcomed at the designated Arrival Marquee, where event staff ensured each Scout was checked in and issued with their official lanyard. While the process was largely smooth, organisers reported a handful of minor hiccups, including some attendees missing lanyards and several buses turning up ahead of schedule.

Despite these small challenges, the overall arrival operation has been deemed a success, with organisers praising both volunteers and participants for their cooperation.

Meanwhile, event “noise experts” have issued an advisory, warning leaders to brace for rising noise levels as more Scouts continue to arrive throughout the day. Suggested coping strategies include the use of noise-cancelling headphones, hiding under a pillow, climbing a tree, or, in extreme cases, making a strategic retreat.

With excitement building and numbers growing, OneCamp 2026 is now well underway, promising an energetic and memorable experience for all involved.

The most stressful part of arriving at OneCamp: finding your lanyard.
