Lunch Mart Locates Itself 7 Metres Off Course

Organisers at OneCamp 2026 are facing light-hearted criticism after reports emerged that the event’s Lunch Mart has been set up in the wrong location.

Earlier today, The Daily OneCamp received unconfirmed claims of a positioning error. Reporters quickly attended the site and have since verified that the Lunch Mart is not situated according to the official event map.

The published OneCamp map indicates that the Lunch Mart should be positioned on the west side of the road adjacent to the Food Distribution Point. However, in reality, it has been established on the east side—still next to the Food Distribution Point, but not in its designated location.

The discrepancy has sparked mild frustration among some attendees. Scouts from Tapping and Wanneroo told The Daily OneCamp they were disappointed by the mistake, joking that it would require them to walk “a whole extra seven metres” to collect their lunch each day.

Leaders working inside the Lunch Mart, however, have taken a more optimistic view. They suggested the alternate placement offers Scouts an added navigational challenge, encouraging problem-solving and adaptability—skills central to the Scouting experience.

Despite the mix-up, the Lunch Mart continues to operate as normal, with most participants taking the situation in good humour as activities at OneCamp 2026 carry on.
