Exclusive: Chief Commissioner of Australia survives buggy mishap

The Chief Commissioner of Australia got more excitement than he bargained for when his golf buddy was involved in an incident with the camp washstand.

Brendan Watson, visiting the OneCamp site over the next two days, was being driven around the site by an unnamed senior Scouts WA Commissioner.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the golf buggy was attempting to depart the C07 site when the vehicle made contact with a milk crate supporting the Unit’s handwash.

The C07 Unit is home to Scouts from 2nd Thornton (NSW), 9th Caulfield (VIC), Derwent (TAS), and Hampton Park (WA).

Sources close to the incident reported that the handwash is expected to make a full recovery.

The Event Management Centre declined to provide a comment, citing ongoing operational matters.

In an exclusive interview with THE ONECAMP DAILY, Brendan confirmed he was uninjured and was at pains to confirm that he was not the driver at the time of the incident.

‘I have washed my hands of the matter.’
